AccessHC and Inspiro: Better Together
We are pleased to announce that Inspiro and Access Health and Community (AccessHC) are merging on 1 May 2025 to create a united organisation that will serve communities across Melbourne’s East, North, Northeast, and the Yarra Ranges.
The merger will allow us to combine resources and expertise, improving the range of services we can offer to the community.
We will be better equipped to meet growing community needs and ensure our services are sustainable for the future.
Services will continue as usual leading up to and following the merger, and you will see the same friendly faces and receive all your regular supports.
We are committed to minimising any disruption, and if there are any changes to services related to the merger, we will keep you informed.
Progress So Far
We’re already working towards a smooth transition:
- A transition team is in place and hard at work to ensure the merger process is well-managed.
- An executive and senior leadership structure has been appointed to guide the merged organisation from 1 May 2025.
Our last update announced the completion of the Due Diligence phase and the desire of both organisations to progress to the next stage.
Following this, Inspiro Members endorsed the merger, both Boards signed a Letter of Intent before signing a Transfer Agreement.
This merger will build on our shared values, partnerships, and cultural alignment to deliver enhanced, high-quality care and support.
To make the transition as straightforward as possible and factoring in the size and scope of both organisations, we will use a process called a ‘business transfer’, where the services, staff and assets of Inspiro will transfer to AccessHC.
Once we merge, we will continue to be known publicly as Access Health and Community and Inspiro. We will be working with our communities later in the year to decide if there will be any changes to the brands.
What’s Next?
Our transition will follow a phased approach to ensure careful and considerate implementation. We are committed to:
- Transparent communication with staff, clients, and stakeholders.
- Supporting our teams with meaningful consultation and engagement.
- Minimising disruption while maintaining strong community partnerships.
This is an exciting opportunity to build on our strengths and come together as one organisation to achieve even greater things for our communities.
