Mens Health Week (10 – 16 June) is a great time to consider what you can do today to shape a healthier, happier future for yourself and the men in your life.
We all agree that improving the health and well-being of men and boys in our community is important, and yet males are still less likely than females to visit a GP or medical specialist (ABS, Patient Experiences 22-23).
The number 1 risk to Australian men is heart disease, but did you know your risk can be significantly reduced by making some changes to your lifestyle, such as dietary changes, increased movement and sleep, and less smoking/vaping?
This Men’s Health Week, Inspiro is calling on men in the Yarra Ranges to take one step towards improving their physical and mental health – by scheduling a checkup.
Increased awareness of health conditions and learning how to protect and improve health can make a huge difference. Encourage your mates, brothers, fathers, and sons to make an appointment with a health professional today.
Different stages of life require different health checks.
Find out what checks should be on your radar with the AMHF Men’s Health Checks Toolkit: www.amhf.org.au/mens_health_checks_2024
