Respect grows with conversation.
The 16 Days of Activism campaign (25 Nov – 10 Dec) is a global, annual initiative that aims to raise awareness and inspire individuals, communities, and organisations to address gender inequalities.
The 16 Days of Activism encourages participants to call out harmful gender stereotypes to help create a safer and more equal society.
We know that almost 1 in 4 women and 1 in 14 men in Australia have experienced violence from an intimate partner since the age of 151. Often that violence begins with disrespect. We all deserve a world where families and relationships are safe and respectful, and people have everything they need to thrive.
Inspiro proudly supports the 16 Days of Activism campaign, and with a grant from Yarra Ranges Council, will distribute 500 native daisy seed packets and 16 Days of Activism bookmarks across the urban and hills areas.
Just like growing a healthy plant from a seed, which takes time, trust, and the right environment to thrive, the Inspiro Growing Respectful Relationships campaign aims to plant the seed of conversation about respect amongst friends, loved ones and the Yarra Ranges community.
Plant the seeds yourself and enjoy them growing in your garden or share them with others as an opportunity to open a conversation about the 16 Days of Activism campaign.
Share your daisies as they grow and bloom by sending us a picture at health.promotion@inspiro.org.au or by tagging us on Instagram @healthpromotion_inspiro
The packs will be distributed from the 25th to 29th November. Collect yours from a local service below:
